Bio

Over 30 years of experience in undergraduate, graduate and professional education as a faculty member, consultant, and administrator. Served as the Vice President/Chief Student Affairs Officer for St. Cloud State University ($34 million budget-2014 $s), Touro University-CA, and Southern California University of Health Sciences. Served as Regional VP for a higher ed management services firm as well as the Director of Counseling, Disability and Health Services for Western Washington University, Pepperdine University and College of the Desert. Served as faculty member for University of North Texas, Seattle Pacific University, Pepperdine University, and Western Washington University. Published scholarly articles, a book chapter, and book on cognitive learning styles "Why Can't You Accept Me the Way I Am?" published by World Education University Press -http://www.theweu.com/nathan-church-phd/ - and numerous scholarly papers at professional meetings. Cognitive Learning Style Assessment also published by WEU Press. Consults with organizations and individuals on applications of cognitive style, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, and the Strengths Deployment Inventory. Served as a Consultant for the National Center for Higher Education Management Systems. Acquired $4 million in grants, gifts and contracts, including a $500,000 NIH award to create and measure the effectiveness of a video based intervention program to reduce HIV infection among adolescents and young adults.
