An Exploration of the Lived Experience of Transgender Individuals in Prison
My name is Allison Radice, and I am doctoral student at Walden University. I am conducting a study to explore the Lived Experience of Transgender Individuals in Prison. Any transgender individual, who has recently been incarcerated, and indicates a willingness to participate in this study, who is over the age of 18. The purpose of this study is to explore the phenomenon of transgender individuals in prison. This includes an exploration of your transgender identity, incarceration, and any other related experiences. This research may provide answers to the risks of safety and security while incarcerated and medical and mental health treatment, access, and availability for transgender individuals
Participants will meet for an in-person interview with the researcher at a mutually agreed upon confidential location and you may discontinue at any point for any reason. Participants will receive a $25.00 Visa gift card.
