Have you considered the University of Central Florida’s top-ranked Counselor Education program to complete your doctorate?

We are now accepting applications for the Fall, 2020 cohort.

Ranked in the top NINE programs in the nation by US News and World Report, the UCF Counselor Education program is designed specifically for those who wish to pursue careers as counselor educators at the university level or as supervisors in schools or agencies.

The UCF Ph.D. Program in Counselor Education program is fully accredited with the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). In addition to advanced curricular experiences in counseling, courses are designed to examine the fundamental issues and theory of teaching adults in higher education, research, supervision, and consultation, and to provide supervised experiences in each area. The UCF Community Counseling and Research Clinic is a large full service, outpatient counseling center that provides free individual and group counseling, couples and family counseling, and play therapy services to over 600 individuals each year in the Central Florida area.

As a hub for teaching, supervision and research in the Counselor Education program, the clinic provides a unique opportunity for doctoral students’ development in teaching, supervision and research. Our nationally recognized faculty are research-oriented and embrace opportunities to collaborate with doctoral students.
